The ASUS IoT Tinker Edge T is an AI-optimised single-board computer with NXP i.MX 8M quad-core SoC and Google Edge TPU ML accelerator, 1 GB LPDDR4, 8 GB eMMC, HDMI 4K, MIPI-DSI, two MIPI-CSI inputs and Wi-Fi/BT for edge AI applications.
The ASUS IoT Tinker Edge T combines the NXP i.MX 8M (quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 @ 1.5 GHz + Cortex-M4) with a Google Edge TPU ML accelerator coprocessor for hardware-accelerated AI inference directly on the board. 1 GB LPDDR4 and 8 GB eMMC onboard memory make up the system resources in the compact 85 × 56 mm format.
Display output is provided via HDMI (up to 4096 × 2160 @ 60 Hz) and MIPI-DSI (4-lane, 6 Gbps, 22-pin); multi-display operation is possible as HDMI + MIPI-DSI. Two MIPI-CSI-2 connectors (4-lane, 24-pin, 3 Gbps) enable stereo camera setups for machine vision applications.
Gigabit LAN (Realtek RTL8211F-CG) and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac + Bluetooth 4.2 (Murata LBEE5U91CQ, onboard) offer flexible connectivity. Two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports and one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C OTG port provide USB connections. The 40-pin GPIO header provides GPIO, SPI, I²C, UART, PWM and PCM/I²S.
The Tinker Edge T is powered with 12–19 V DC, supports Mendel OS (Coral/Google ecosystem) and is designed for operating temperatures from 0 to 50 °C. An integrated boot mode switch and reset header simplify development and maintenance.
