The MSI IPC MS-C918S is a fully fanless (passively cooled) variant of the palm-size box PC with Intel Alder Lake-N N100 or Twin Lake-N N150 (6 W) and integrated Wi-Fi 6E & Bluetooth 5.2. With an extended operating temperature of up to 55 °C for reliable continuous operation in heat-intensive environments.
Like the MS-C918, the MSI IPC MS-C918S is based on the Intel Mobile Alder Lake-N N100 (0.8–3.4 GHz, 6 W) or Twin Lake-N N150 (0.8–3.4 GHz, 6 W) in BGA package, but with fully passive cooling (fanless). The compact chassis measures 80 × 78 × 48 mm at a weight of 0.35 kg and can be mounted discreetly behind monitors or in kiosk systems via VESA bracket.
4 GB of single-channel LPDDR5-4800 memory is soldered on board. A 128 GB eMMC serves as data storage. An SD card slot allows external storage expansion up to 2 TB. fTPM 2.0 is integrated in the processor.
The I/O equipment is identical to the MS-C918: 2× HDMI 2.0b (up to 4096×2160@60 Hz, one with CEC power on/off), 1× GbE LAN (Realtek RTL8111H-CG), 2× USB 10 Gbps Type-A and 1× USB 2.0 Type-A. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 are integrated onboard (2 internal antennas).
The MS-C918S is certified to FCC Class B, CE, RCM, BSMI, VCCI, UKCA and IC and runs Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 24H2 LTSC. Thanks to fully passive cooling (fanless) and the extended operating temperature of 0 to 55 °C (with 0.7 m/s airflow), it is particularly suited for continuous operation in warmer or dusty environments.
