The MSI IPC MS-9B05 is a 27 mm slim, fanless box PC with an Intel 8th Gen Whiskey Lake-U Core i5 processor and up to 32 GB DDR4 RAM for digital signage and automation applications. It supports three independent display outputs and complies with IEC 61373 for vibration and shock protection.
The MSI IPC MS-9B05 is based on the Intel 8th Gen Mobile Whiskey Lake-U Core i5 processor (quad-core, 15 W, BGA) with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. The slim aluminium chassis, only 27 mm high, allows easy maintenance: just 2 screws are enough to open the bottom cover in under 6 seconds and access the memory, M.2 and Mini-PCIe slots as well as the 2.5″ drive bay.
Two 260-pin DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM slots take up to 32 GB. Storage options include one M.2 M-Key slot (PCIe x4, 2242), one M.2 E-Key slot (PCIe x1/USB 2.0, 2230), one Mini-PCIe slot with mSATA, a further Mini-PCIe slot with Nano-SIM holder and one 2.5″ HDD/SSD bay.
The interfaces include 3× HDMI (HDMI 2.0 up to 4K@60 Hz, HDMI 1.4 up to 4K@24 Hz), 2× GbE LAN (Intel I219LM + Intel I210-AT), 4× USB 2.0, 2× USB 3.2 Gen 2, 2× COM port (RS-232/422/485, 0/5/12 V) as well as SPDIF-out/Line-out and Mic-in. Four antenna openings allow expansion with WLAN, Bluetooth and LTE modules.
With IP40 protection, IEC 61373 Category 1 Class A (vibration and shock), an operating temperature of −10 to 50 °C (SSD) and a wide-range DC-in 9–36 V input, the MS-9B05 is designed for demanding industrial, vehicle and digital signage environments. VESA/DIN rail/wall mounting is supported.
