Description

The ASUS IoT X742ES-IM-AA is an industrial 3.5-inch SBC with the Intel® Atom® x7425E processor (Alder Lake-N, 4 cores, 12 W TDP, up to 3.5 GHz) and DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM up to 16 GB.

Triple display (HDMI + DP + eDP/LVDS), six serial interfaces, dual GbE LAN and extensive M.2/Mini-PCIe expansion make it ideal for performance-demanding industrial applications.

Processor & platform: The X742ES-IM-AA uses the Intel® Atom® x7425E (Alder Lake-N platform) with 4 cores, 12 W TDP, 1.5 GHz base frequency and up to 3.5 GHz turbo clock. The Intel Gen 12 UHD Graphics enables 4K/60 Hz and a tri-display configuration of HDMI 2.0, DP 1.2 and eDP 1.2/LVDS.

Memory & storage: SO-DIMM DDR5-4800 MT/s with in-band ECC (IBECC), max. 16 GB. Storage options: 1× SATA Gen 3.2 (6 Gb/s), M.2 M-Key 2280/2242 (SATA), M.2 E-Key 2230 (PCIe/USB/CNVi, WLAN/BT) and Mini-PCIe with Nano-SIM socket.

I/O & connectivity: Rear: 1× HDMI, 1× DP, 4× USB 3.2 Gen2 (10 Gb/s), 2× GbE RJ-45 (Intel® i210AT). Internal: 6× COM (2× RS-232/422/485, 4× RS-232), 2× USB 2.0, 8-bit GPIO, SMBus, I²C, chassis fan (PWM+DC). Audio: Realtek® ALC897.

Industrial features: Operating temperature 0 °C to 60 °C, storage −40 °C to 85 °C, relative humidity 10–95 %. DC 9–36 V. TPM: SPI header + Intel® PTT, OS Guard, Boot Guard.
