The ASUS IoT J6412S-IM-A is a 3.5-inch SBC with Intel® Celeron® J6412 processor (SoC) and DDR4 memory. It offers triple display output via HDMI, DP and LVDS, up to 6 serial COM ports, dual LAN with 2× Intel i210IT and a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 85 °C.
The J6412S-IM-A is based on the Intel® Celeron® J6412 SoC with integrated graphics controller and supports Windows 10 (64-bit) / Windows 10 IoT Enterprise as well as Linux Ubuntu. The platform is particularly suited to cost-optimised industrial embedded systems with rugged requirements.
Memory is provided via one SO-DIMM socket supporting DDR4 modules with up to 32 GB capacity (in-band ECC supported by the SoC). Storage expansion is provided by one M.2 Key M slot (type 2280, SATA & PCIe×2), one M.2 Key E slot (type 2230, WLAN/BT), one M.2 Key B slot (USB 2.0) and one SATA Gen3 6Gb/s port.
The rear I/O comprises 1× HDMI 2.0, 1× DisplayPort 1.2, 4× USB 3.1 Gen1 (Type A) and 2× RJ-45 (2× Intel® i210IT, 10/100/1000 Mbps, WOL/PXE). Internally, 6 serial ports (2× RS-232/422/485, 4× RS-232), GPIO (8-bit), SMBus and I²C are available.
The board offers a wide DC input range of 9–36 V, an excellent operating temperature range of 0 to 60 °C, hardware watchdog, SPI TPM header and certifications to CE, FCC, VCCI, ISED and EN62368. The 3.5-inch format (146×105 mm) and the optional ASUS IoT Suite with HW Monitor, Power Scheduling, Fan Control and GPIO support make this board the ideal platform for industrial IoT applications.
