The ASUS IoT C3121S-IM-AA is a 3.5-inch SBC with Intel® Core™ i3-1215U processor (Alder Lake-P U, 15 W, 6 cores) and DDR5-4800 memory. It offers quad display output via DP, 2× HDMI and LVDS as well as up to 4 serial COM ports and a wide operating temperature range from -20 to 60 °C.
The C3121S-IM-AA is based on the Intel® Core™ i3-1215U processor (SoC, Alder Lake-P U series, 15 W, 6 cores, max. 6 GHz) with integrated chipset and Intel® Iris® Xe graphics. The platform supports Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC as well as Linux Ubuntu and Yocto and is suitable for demanding industrial and embedded applications.
Memory is provided via two SO-DIMM sockets and supports DDR5-4800 modules with up to 64 GB total capacity. Storage expansion is provided by one M.2 M-Key slot (type 2242/2280, PCIe Gen4×4 & SATA) and one SATA 6Gb/s port; one M.2 E-Key slot (type 2230, PCIe×1/CNVi) is available for WLAN/BT.
The rear I/O comprises 1× DisplayPort 1.2, 2× HDMI 2.0, 4× USB 3.2 Gen2 (10G) and 2× RJ-45 (Intel® i219LM and i225V, 10/100/1000 Mbps/2.5G). Internally, 4 serial headers (2× RS-232/422/485, 2× RS-232), GPIO (8-bit), SMBus, I²C and a Mini PCIe full-length slot with Nano-SIM socket are available.
For industrial use, the board offers a wide DC input range of 9–36 V, an operating temperature range of -20 to 60 °C (-40 to 85 °C storage temperature), a BIOS watchdog function, an SPI TPM header and certifications to CE, FCC, BSMI, VCCI, ISED and EN62368. The compact 3.5-inch format (146×105 mm) allows use in space-critical enclosures.
