The IMB-X1240-WV brings desktop performance to the Mini-ITX format: Intel Core processors up to 14th Gen on the W680 chipset, ECC DDR5, PCIe Gen5 x16, quad display and a 12-28 V wide-range input.
The ASRock Industrial IMB-X1240-WV is an industrial Mini-ITX motherboard (17.0 x 17.0 x 2.5 cm) with the Intel W680 workstation chipset. It takes Intel Core processors of Series 2 (Bartlett Lake-S) as well as 14th, 13th and 12th Gen (Raptor Lake-S Refresh, Raptor Lake-S, Alder Lake-S), bringing full desktop computing power to a 17 x 17 cm format.
The W680 chipset allows the use of ECC memory: two 262-pin SO-DIMM slots hold up to 96 GB DDR5-4800/5600, either with or without error correction. Manufacturer’s note: memory cooling should be provided at ambient temperatures of 55 degrees Celsius and above at the board.
For expansion, one PCIe x16 slot (Gen5) is available, which supports riser cards with x8/x8 bifurcation. In addition, there are two M.2 Key M slots (PCIe Gen4 x4, one with additional SATA3), one M.2 Key B (3042/3052) with SIM socket for 4G/5G mobile communications and one M.2 Key E for WLAN. Intel VMD RAID 0/1 is supported. Graphics output is via 2x HDMI 2.0b, DisplayPort 1.4a, LVDS and eDP 1.4b in quad display mode.
Networking is handled by an Intel I226V with 2.5 GbE and an Intel I219LM with 1 GbE including vPro support. A TPM 2.0 chip is permanently onboard. Power is supplied via a wide-range input from 12 to 28 V DC with lockable jack; the operating temperature range extends from -20 to +70 degrees Celsius.
