The IMB-1236 combines Intel Alder Lake-PS with DDR5 memory, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a PCIe x4 slot and quad display in Mini-ITX format.
The ASRock Industrial IMB-1236 is an industrial Mini-ITX motherboard (17.0 x 17.0 x 3.8 cm) with Intel Alder Lake-PS Core processors up to 45 W TDP in the LGA 1700 socket. It is the DDR5 successor to the IMB-1235 series and adds a PCIe slot.
Two 262-pin SO-DIMM slots take up to 64 GB of DDR5-4800 in dual-channel mode. Unlike the IMB-1235, this board additionally offers a PCIe x4 slot (Gen4) – allowing add-in cards to be used without giving up the Thunderbolt features.
Two USB4/Thunderbolt 4 ports (5 V/3 A) handle peripherals and video output via DisplayPort 1.4a. Together with two HDMI 2.0b outputs, LVDS and eDP 1.4b, this enables quad-display operation; the Intel Iris Xe Graphics drives all outputs up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz.
Storage is provided by one M.2 Key M (2242/2260/2280, PCIe Gen4 x4) and two SATA3 ports with Intel VMD RAID 0/1. One M.2 Key B (3042/3052) with SIM socket covers 4G/5G, one M.2 Key E the WLAN module. Networking is handled by an Intel I226LM with 2.5 GbE and vPro support and an Intel I210AT with 1 GbE. Six COM ports, 4x GPI/4x GPO and a TPM 2.0 chip round off the feature set. Power supply via 12 to 28 V DC, at -20 to +70 degrees Celsius.
