The IMB-1317 brings Intel Core Ultra Series 2 (Arrow Lake-S) to the Q870 chipset: CU-DIMM DDR5-6400 up to 256 GB, PCIe Gen5, two USB4/Thunderbolt 4 ports and HDMI 2.1 with 8K resolution.
The ASRock Industrial IMB-1317 is a latest-generation industrial Micro-ATX motherboard (24.4 x 24.4 x 4.61 cm). The Intel Q870 chipset with LGA 1851 socket accepts Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors (Arrow Lake-S) with up to 125 W TDP.
For memory, the board relies on CU-DIMM modules at 6400 MHz or conventional U-DIMMs at 5600 MHz – four 288-pin slots take up to 256 GB (64 GB per module). The integrated Intel Xe LPG Graphics drives HDMI 2.1 at up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz; together with two DisplayPort 2.1 outputs via USB-C, one DisplayPort 1.4a and LVDS/eDP, this enables quad-display operation.
Two USB4/Thunderbolt 4 ports (5 V/3 A, with DP 2.1 video output) clearly set the board apart from the previous generation – one of them is implemented as an internal vertical connector. This is complemented by eight USB 3.2 Gen2, two USB 3.2 Gen1 and one USB 2.0.
Expansion comprises two PCIe Gen5 slots (single x16 or x8/x8, riser x8/x8 supported), two PCIe x4 (Gen4), two M.2 Key M with PCIe Gen5 x4 and Gen4 x4 respectively, and one M.2 Key E for WLAN. Eight SATA3 ports with Intel VMD RAID 0/1/5/10 are available. Networking is handled by an Intel I219LM (1 GbE, vPro) and an Intel I226V (2.5 GbE). TPM 2.0 is onboard, power is supplied via ATX (24+8+8-pin), at -20 to +70 degrees Celsius.
